What do you do during that downtime during family vacation where you are crammed into a hotel room? Sure you could all sit on your devices and watch tv, or, you could bring some fun, kid-friendly games to play on your trip! We love to travel so I have tried numerous games with the kids, some have been great and others have been flops but these games are usually cheaper than regular board games so the flops have been worth it to find the good ones!
- Don’t go Boom: we love this game! This game moves quickly and keeps everyone’s attention while improving counting and math skills.
- Spot it!: a quick and fun observational game with variations to change it up when you get bored.
- Exploding Kittens: out of all these games, this one is probably my least favorite to play, but the kids love it so it made the list.
- Blink: a super quick two player game that I really enjoy – this is another one that is enjoyed by my 4 year old even though the age recommendation starts at 7.
- Sushi go!: a pass and play card game where players create sushi dishes. The game can be played within 30 minutes and the artwork is super cute!
- Uno: a classic that is portable and can be enjoyed by kids and adults!
