Lovevery Play Gym – Is it worth the high price tag?
Is the lovevery play gym worth the high price tag?
We recently added a third child to our family (hello party of five)! When you are going through your third pregnancy you think to yourself that you simply must have everything you need. Even though my three kids span just four years, baby products have gotten so much better! One thing I bought for my third baby is the LovEvery play gym and I absolutely love it. For our first two kiddos we had the ever popular rainforest play mat (still a solid choice but this is far superior…and I’ll tell you why).
Styling and Size
First of all, I love the styling and size (it is slightly larger than other play gyms). I like the colors – very neutral and easy on the eyes. The accessories are organic and removable – we take the teething ring with us everywhere!
Play Guide
This play gym comes with a “play guide” that gives you suggestions on how to play with your baby – which I love! You can use this play gym to play with your baby or you can use it to entertain your baby while you do chores/cook dinner etc. This is the #1 reason I think this play gym is worth the hefty price tag. I don’t feel like any of the other play gyms offer the option to really engage with your baby and play together – they are more of a distraction for your baby while you attend to something else. Don’t get me wrong – this is definitely needed for all fatigued parents, but I felt like I missed valuable play time with my first two because I didn’t have somewhere to play with them or ideas on how to play with them.
Development Zones
The next thing I love about this play gym is the five development zones – again, this is where I feel this gym shines. You can play and engage with your baby and also start introducing colors, sounds, hide/find, learning to focus and how things feel. Additionally, I can see my daughter using this play gym into toddlerhood – it isn’t just a baby toy for a one or two short months.
Overall this gym is a solid pick and worth the extra bucks. Hopefully the resale on this gym will make up the difference in cost.
